Van ‘t Spit – Amsterdam
For €11, you get half a chicken and for € 21, a whole one from the rotisserie. Add one of the side dishes, such as corn on the cob or homemade applesauce. In addition to fries, they also serve sweet potato mash. All side dishes cost € 4. The restaurant has two locations in Amsterdam, but by now you can also find it in Eindhoven, Rotterdam and Breda.

Kippig – Utrecht
Kippig is a very small takeout and delivery restaurant where you can get a whole chicken for € 12.50. For € 7.50, you get half a chicken. They also have wings, chicken-thigh skewers, piccalilli mayonnaise and aioli. They don’t make a fuss about delivering to the park, and you can even have your order delivered to a number of pubs.

De Kip Gallery – Rotterdam
The authentically Portuguese-seasoned chicken at De Kip Gallery comes from a charcoal barbecue. Ordering in advance is recommended, as it is often quite busy. The prices are excellent: € 9.30 for a whole chicken and € 5.10 for half a chicken. You can also order a baked potato or corn on the cob with it.
