The first Beersecco is a fact: beer and Prosecco in one bottle
Can’t decide between beer or Prosecco? Or are you simply dying to know what it tastes like when you combine these two drinks? Then your wish is granted. Lowlander has launched the world’s first Beersecco (6.8%): beer and Prosecco in one bottle.
Champagne beer
Lowlander isn’t afraid to experiment. The botanical brewer previously came up with a true Champagne beer, Botanical Brut. It was a limited-edition sparkling beer with spruce and champagne yeast. Ideal for beer lovers who want to toast along during champagne moments, and also great for a beer pairing, because such a Champagne beer goes very well with rich bites, such as charcuterie, a creamy camembert and, of course, an oliebol.
Lowlander Beersecco
And the same goes for the new Beersecco (the name gives me a slight ‘crompouce‘ error, but never mind that). The new Lowlander addition is brewed with Prosecco’s signature grape, called glera, saison yeast, rosemary and citrus. The beer and Prosecco are fermented separately and only blended during lagering (the resting process), together with lemon peel and rosemary, without added sugars. The result? Lowlander Beersecco is deliciously bubbly and has the characteristic aromas of prosecco, combined with the sweet bitterness of beer. Finally, you’ll taste spicy notes of rosemary and lemon—in the back of your throat, just you wait.
