Recipe: Dumplings with creamy Carbonara Buldak noodles

dumpling noodles creamy carbonara buldak

The creamy Carbonara noodles from Buldak remain incredibly popular. Every day I still see several creations go by, and I’m already getting hungry just thinking about them — luckily, they’re now available at Albert Heijn, although that’s also a little dangerous. They’re not exactly healthy, but I think they’re more than worth the hype: heavenly delicious.

But this new creation I saw go by… I might actually be even more excited about that. Homemade dumplings filled with these heavenly, creamy noodles.

Dumplings Carbonara noodles: easy and quick to make

I always think that’s a great plus: when a recipe is ready quickly and is practically foolproof. I want to be able to make this on a hungover Sunday, and luckily it’s extremely suitable for that.

Here’s how to make Dumplings Carbonara noodles:

1. Prepare the Carbonara noodles as you normally would. For example, I add a spoonful of Philadelphia (cooking cream works too) and two slices of Cheddar (mozzarella is also highly recommended!).

2. When they’re ready, sprinkle some spring onion on top.

3. Take a very small portion of the noodles and place it on a dumpling wrapper. Optionally add some extra cheese, then seal the dumpling by wetting the edges.

4. Briefly fry them in a pan first, then steam them by adding water and covering the pan with a lid.

5. And done! You can serve them with some extra spring onion, soy sauce, Kewpie mayonnaise or ponzu sauce, chili oil… Whatever you like. But the fact that they’re delicious is undeniable — what an absolutely wonderful snack this is!

If all of this still feels like too much effort, you can always try to get them ready-made. Can these please start appearing in all supermarkets very soon too, pretty please?!
