The Netherlands’ first meat vending machine has opened

No Snickers or bags of crisps from the vending machine, but meat: online butcher BBQuality installed the Netherlands’ first meat vending machine this week. From this luxury vending wall, you can easily pick up a piece of meat that can go on the BBQ that same evening.

There’s nothing quite as delicious as a juicy marinated chicken or a perfect sausage from the BBQ. Usually, you’ll have bought the meat for your mischievous BBQ plans in advance, but what if you stoke up a fire at the last minute, have no meat at home and would love to grill the most delicious picanha or bavette? Then the meat vending machine is your lifesaver. Handy!
Always fresh meat
B.B.Quality’s first vending machine is located at Intratuin in Rosmalen. People in the store can choose the meat they want at the press of a button, pay contactlessly and take it with them straight away. All the meat in the vending machine is chilled, and the stock is carefully monitored. For example, pork placed in the vending machine on Wednesday comes from pigs slaughtered on Monday. This guarantees that you get a fresh piece of meat every time.
Another advantage is that B.B.Quality believes good meat comes from animals that have had a good life.

Founders and friends Claus and Paul of online quality butcher B.B.Quality came up with the clever idea of the meat vending machine because they noticed that there is particularly high demand for more luxurious cuts of meat at weekends, but that these are not always available or in stock at local butchers. By offering the meat this way, enthusiasts and BBQ fans can still put a delicious piece of meat on the BBQ. The country’s first meat vending machine can be found in the BBQ department of Intratuin in Rosmalen; hopefully, more locations will follow soon.
