The Netherlands’ first Wine-Wash-Street opens

Because of the coronavirus, initiatives are popping up all over the Netherlands to continue providing people with delicious food and drinks. This Saturday, March 21, the Netherlands’ first Wine-Wash-Street will open.

Drive-through wine shop
To minimize physical contact, Meisjes van de Wijn have come up with an alternative to the events they organize. Together with their colleagues from wine shop Heeren van de Wijn, they are organizing a drive-through wine shop where your car will also be washed in an extra-hygienic way.
Along with the chilled wine placed in your car, you will also receive a picnic basket filled with all kinds of treats from local entrepreneurs in IJsselstein. Do you still have empty wine bottles at home that you want to get rid of? Put them in the back of your car! As soon as your purchase is loaded, the bottles will be collected and recycled.
Various packages
Payments are contactless and the purchase is placed in the back of the car, so all hand-to-hand contact can be avoided. There are various packages to choose from, ranging from 35 euros (car wash, 2 bottles of wine, picnic basket for 2, game for home) to 99 euros (car wash, 3 bottles of exclusive wine, extra-luxury picnic basket for 4, game for home)
Wijn-Was-Straat opening hours:
Date: Saturday, March 21, 2020
