Festival TREK in Rotterdam, 9 to 12 May
TREK has been hot and happening for years. It is a travelling festival where you can spend your days from May through August. It starts in Rotterdam and ends in The Hague.
Lekker in het park in Utrecht, 10 to 12 May
This new festival takes place in Máximapark in Utrecht. Everything here revolves around delicious food and good music. You can also take part in workshops and tastings.
Fonteyn Festival in Utrecht, 11 to 13 May
If you are a wine enthusiast, Fonteyn is for you. Here you can taste top wines from all over the world, naturally accompanied by delicious food.
Eten Op Rolletjes in Alkmaar, 17 to 19 May
Eten op Rolletjes starts further north, in Alkmaar, and can then be found in nine more cities. Snacks and drinks with live music and theatre.
Gin Festival in Amsterdam, 18 May
Gin lovers should be here on 18 May. Prepare yourself for 120 types of gin. No time in May? You can also visit this festival later in the year.
TAPT Festival in Amsterdam, 18 May
More into (specialty) beer? Then TAPT is more for you. Here they serve all kinds of well-known and lesser-known beers from the Netherlands and abroad.
Festival TREK in Maastricht, 23 to 26 May
Maastricht is the second location of travelling food festival TREK. Delicious food from various food trucks and dancing to live music.
Het Pizza Festival in Amsterdam, 25 and 26 May
Imagine yourself in an Italian atmosphere in Amsterdam’s Rembrandtpark. Think of a pizza boulevard with pizza makers preparing fresh pizzas. Het Pizza Festival sounds like a must-visit.
ROTZOOI Fermentation festival in Ede, 26 May
At ROTZOOI, don’t expect standard food trucks. No, everything here revolves around ‘rotten’ food. This is where you learn all about fermented food. Learn to make kimchi or sourdough bread yourself.
Rollende Keukens in Amsterdam, 29 May to 2 June
Rollende Keukens is also a well-known name. The food festival in Amsterdam where top food trucks set up shop. This event has been taking place for years and covers the entire Westergasterrein.
Eten op Rolletjes in Hilversum, 30 May to 1 June
The second location of Eten op Rolletjes is in Hilversum. Just as in Alkmaar, you can eat here with live music or theatre in the background. In addition to Alkmaar and Hilversum, the festival will take place at seven more locations this summer.
Festival TREK in Nijmegen, 30 May to 2 June
By no means the final TREK location, but the last location in May. This travelling festival can be found in eight different cities from May through August.
Taste of Amsterdam in Amsterdam, 31 May to 2 June
At this festival in Amstelpark, various top chefs from the Netherlands and abroad, such as Sidney Schutte and Masanori Tomikawa, showcase their culinary skills.
RYPP Wijnfestival in Rotterdam, 31 May to 2 June
Another festival for wine lovers, this time in Rotterdam. Here too, you can taste various wines and wine-and-food pairings.
