The Weirdest Eating Habits During the Office Lunch

Office lunches can sometimes be a real minefield. Mishandling the cheese is one thing, but some colleagues take it even further. They have eating habits we can only look on at in amazement, shaking our heads…

Muesli with orange juice

There are even two people who start their day with cornflakes and muesli drenched in fruit juice instead of milk. Orange juice is the favorite. Don’t ask me why. Although… apparently it’s quite the craze at the moment to eat cereals with orange juice instead of milk.

Noodle candy

No, not making noodle soup at four o’clock. Just tear open the packet and then hop: bite the raw noodles straight off the block. Highly recommended!

With applesauce

You know the type: people who have applesauce with everything. One colleague proudly said that lasagna with applesauce is ‘the discovery of the century’ because, ‘the fresh applesauce is delicious with a hot bite of lasagna’.

Pickle juice

Apparently, slurping up the leftover juice from the jar is incredibly healthy. That fluorescent green-yellow juice is packed with vitamin C, after all. Yesterday there was an argument over who was allowed to have the last bit. For the pickle junkies among us: you can do something exciting with pickle juice. What if I told you that you can make a Pickle Martini with it? Suddenly, the office lunch becomes very convivial!

Kiwi with the skin on

Yes, really, it happens. How do you get past that hairy, tasteless and above all chewy skin, Delilah?!

They drown their sh*t in it

Our office is populated by die-hard dippers. Fries or chicken dunked in a milkshake. A case of soggy fries—you have to be a fan.

Glass of soy sauce, anyone?

The guilty pleasure of our editor-in-chief (yes, we at FavorFlav have a few too): once the sushi is gone, drink the little container of wasabi soy sauce. Side effect: thirst for 24 hours.

Extra celery

Delicious, isn’t it, spreading a thick layer of peanut butter into that groove… But please keep it away from me, okay?

From a children’s plate

Don’t worry, you’re not the only one who does this. But then going back for seconds three times. Who are you foolin’?
