The Weirdest Lay’s Flavors You Should Never Try

A bag of crisps is basically always gone in one sitting in my house; I absolutely love them. That’s why, purely for self-protection, I only keep small bags at home, because otherwise I can’t control myself. Addictively delicious. Most flavors, anyway, because when it comes to crisps, I’m a real creature of habit. Keep it normal, and you’re already being wild enough — that definitely applies to me when it comes to crisps.

But Lay’s isn’t afraid, you know. They keep coming up with the weirdest flavors… I’ll pass on these, if you don’t mind.
The weirdest Lay’s crisps

1. Italian red meat
You wouldn’t expect it, but you can buy this flavor in China. It’s supposed to taste like Bolognese sauce, and no, I have no idea why anyone would want that as a crisp flavor either. But I might actually dare to try this one.

2. Cucumber
This flavor, on the other hand… I’ll pass on that one. Who came up with this? Cucumber tastes like nothing, so I really can’t imagine how awful these crisps must be.

3. Numb & Spicy Hot Pot
Another flavor I really can’t imagine. In any case, I have my doubts about Lay’s’s whole ‘spicy’ thing — I don’t think it ever gets truly hot. But I’d still like to try this one, because secretly, I’m quite curious about it.

4. Fried crab
No. Just no. Nobody wants this, and I’d honestly bet money on it.

5. Salted egg
For-good-ness-sake. How did this flavor ever get the green light at headquarters? And how on earth did they even come up with it? I hope whoever did came looking for another job very quickly.

6. Dill pickle
I already can’t stand those big pickles in dill, let alone when they come in crisp form… No, this one might well be the weirdest of them all. No, thank you. And it’s the most expensive one too: almost 35 euros for one bag.
