These French top restaurants received 3 Michelin stars

Last Monday, the 2019 French Michelin Guide was released, and the stars came pouring in here too. No fewer than 75 restaurants received a star. Two restaurants managed to secure a third star for the first time.

According to the press, France has broken a record with its 75 new starred restaurants. Never before has a country gained so many stars in a single year. Hats off to France!
Three stars
Chef Mauro Colegreco’s restaurant Mirazur on the French Côte d’Azur received its third star this year. Mirazur ranks third among the fifty best restaurants in the world. Le Clos des Sens in Annecy-Le-Vieux is also joining the ranks of three-Michelin-starred restaurants. France now has 27 three-star restaurants in total, one fewer than last year.
Emancipated?
This year, five two-star restaurants were also added, including restaurant David Toutain and restaurant La Scène in Paris. The latter is run by Stéphanie Le Quellec and is one of the eleven newly added starred restaurants run by a woman. The Michelin Guide has previously been criticized for its lack of emancipation, so it is possible that this was highlighted during Monday’s event for that reason.
