These lava cakes have a Michelin star and you can now buy them for home

In France, they are called moelleux au chocolat. Those incredibly delicious lava cakes—warm chocolate cakes with a gooey center—if I see them on the menu, I always order them. And now I have them in my freezer, made by a Michelin-starred chef, no less!

The Cool Market
Jan Smink, from Restaurant Smink in Wolvega, is still recovering from all the congratulations following his first Michelin star. But the fact that his lava cakes are now accessible to the general public also makes him incredibly happy. Thanks to Tom van der Wagen, founder of the webshop The Cool Market, because you can order them here. What a great idea from Tom: selling frozen dishes from top restaurants and chefs. Such as the lava cakes from Michelin-starred chef Jan Smink.
Flowing chocolate
Set on the outside and soft and gooey on the inside… make me go weak at the knees! Isn’t this the perfect sweet ending to a dinner? Especially when they are made by a Michelin-starred chef.

Trio of chocolate lava cakes
You order them as a trio: one dark, one milk and one white chocolate lava cake. From frozen, heat them in a preheated oven for about 12 minutes. They are perfect when the center flows out in a molten stream. This dream trio costs €12.50 and you can order it here.
