These vegetarian meatballs are indistinguishable from the real thing

When I was twelve, I lived as a vegetarian for two years, and it really wasn’t much fun. Meat substitutes back then consisted solely of dry veggie burgers or a cheese schnitzel. Never again, I thought at the time, and I could have cried with happiness when I had my first meatball afterwards. Until a few years ago, I was a true carnivore. The more meat, the better. But I, too, am moving with the times: I’ve come back from that. Because vegetarian food can be genuinely delicious.

I’ve now tasted a meatball that I would have sworn was made with meat. But no: completely vegetarian. Seriously, I was genuinely amazed: it was really delicious. The ball was from Green Cuisine, a brand I wasn’t familiar with before but am now a huge fan of.

Extensive range

Besides these vegetarian meatballs, they also have vegetarian crispy chicken fillets, which are once again indistinguishable from the real thing. Seriously, how do they do it? Another plus, in my opinion, is that these products aren’t stuffed full of soy, which I always find a bit disappointing.

And if you do find yourself in the freezer aisle, be sure to pick up a pack of their falafel balls too. You won’t regret it.

And no, this isn’t sponsored! Just an open declaration of love.
