Man no longer welcome at all-you-can-eat restaurant: ‘he eats far too much’

At many all-you-can-eat restaurants, eating a lot is allowed. But of course, you can overdo it. Take this food blogger from China. He ate so much that he was put on the blacklist of an all-you-can-eat restaurant.

1.5 kg of pig’s feet
No longer welcome because, according to the restaurant owner, you eat far too much—it can happen. But then you really have to go overboard. Mr Kang, as the food blogger calls himself, tells a local news channel in an interview that during his first visit to the Handadi Seafood BBQ Buffet in Changsha, he ate 1.5 kg of pig’s feet (I already feel nauseous just thinking about it) and, on another occasion, almost 4 kg of shrimp.
He finds being put on the blacklist extremely surprising: “I can eat a lot—is that a mistake?!” he asks aloud in the interview. He adds—and he has a point—that he does not waste food.
30 bottles of soy milk
The owner of Handadi Seafood BBQ Buffet is clear about it: “Every time he comes here, I lose a few hundred yuan,” he says. “When he eats pig’s feet, he consumes the entire tray. And for shrimp, people usually use tongs to pick them up from the tray, but he empties the whole tray. Even when he drinks soy milk, he can have 20 or 30 bottles.”
Seriously? 30 bottles of soy milk? That seems a little exaggerated to me, but in any case: Mr Kang will have to look elsewhere.
