This bracelet gives you a shock when you eat fast food

One person spoons Nutella straight from the jar until the very last bit, while another takes a daily detour for a filet americain sandwich from the butcher. Had enough and want to kick your guilty pleasure? Give yourself an electric shock.

We’re not joking. There’s actually a bracelet that gives you a shock to help you unlearn your bad habit. According to its maker — yes, the man who makes money by indirectly giving people electric shocks — you’ll be rid of your habit within three to five days.
DIY
Detail: the bracelet doesn’t recognize on its own when you’re eating badly or thinking about it. Every time temptation gets closer, you have to administer the shock (350 volts) yourself. Think of it as a DIY project, only slightly more sadistic than making tie-dye shirts or crocheting.
Do you literally sprinkle cheese over absolutely everything? Or have you once again, completely accidentally, eaten an entire bar of chocolate? You get the idea: you have to give yourself a shock. According to the maker, at some point your brain will associate your beloved chocolate with pain and therefore with something negative. And that’s how you would kick your bad habit.
You’ve got to rely on your friends
Good news for your friends: they can also help you unlearn your bad habit. The bracelet also has an app that alerts your friends every time you mess up. What punishment comes with that? You’ll surely work it out in the group chat.
This bossy bracelet will cost you a fair bit: 200 dollars, to be precise. And possibly a visit to a therapist. The bracelet is (unfortunately?) not yet available in the Netherlands. So while we can, we’ll enjoy our guilty pleasures a little extra.
