This gaming icon is getting its own café

Yes, yes, the Pokémon craze is fun, but let’s not forget Kirby. We also spent hours playing with him on the Game Boy. They’re still crazy about the pink ball in Japan, and now a themed restaurant is opening.

The first eatery opens in Osaka in August (2016), followed by a location in Tokyo later on. The game’s most famous elements feature in the food, such as the yellow stars and the villains. Round Kirby himself is perfect as a macaron. When you’re full, you can pick up some—probably far too expensive—merchandise to take home.
