This is the most delicious split pea soup from the supermarket

The Consumers’ Association tests everything, from leaf blowers to apple pie and from vitamin pills to health insurance. And split pea soup, thank goodness, because thanks to the association’s thorough research, we now know for sure where you can buy the most delicious split pea soup. No messing around with pork trotters and split peas in your own kitchen—just open a can and you’re done.

The split pea soup testers at the Consumers’ Association compared fifteen different supermarket soups. They looked not only at the soup’s nutritional values (in particular, how much fat it contains), but also at the vegetables and the amount of smoked sausage in the soup. The most delicious soup? It will surprise you: you can buy it at Aldi. Their split pea soup, from the ‘Hete ketel’ brand, received a respectable 7.2 in its report. The testers say that the soup has exactly the right taste and aroma, and is a beautiful bright green.
Still delicious
Number two: Albert Heijn’s soup. Not enough meat and celeriac to become the champion, but still a very tasty split pea soup. Well, why not just add another smoked sausage yourself?
