This Is the Tastiest Meatball 2019
A good meatball is one of life’s pleasures, if you ask me. And today, it was announced who makes the tastiest meatball in the Netherlands.
The meatball judging
The competition was organized by the Royal Dutch Butchers. The meatballs were tested based on a single judging session. All meatballs were assessed on aroma, taste, composition and preparation. A professional three-member jury, including the winner of the Tastiest Meatball 2018, awarded the prize to Jean-Pierre Jongmans.

The jury said about the winning meatball from Keurslager Jongmans: “This is a perfect meatball. A meatball where everything is just right: it looks delicious, smells wonderful, has a pure meat flavor and a good bite.” Jean-Pierre Jongmans can shout it from the rooftops: “Last year we came third, and now we have won the professional competition. We are very proud to be able to call ourselves the winner of the Tastiest Meatball in the Netherlands this year. This prize is the crowning achievement of our work!”
