The crispy croissants are going completely viral on—of course—TikTok. And that’s not surprising, because who isn’t crazy about next-level croissants? We’ve already seen cube croissants and filled croissants come by, and we think crispy croissants fit perfectly alongside them. A little different from the way you know the French icon, but unmistakably with that delicious croissant flavor.

Making crispy croissants

All you need are: croissants, a rolling pin, a frying pan, baking paper, butter and honey. First, roll the croissants completely flat. What you normally want with croissants—airiness—you’re rolling right out of them now! Then melt a knob of butter in the frying pan. Once the butter is hot, place the croissant in it. Now drizzle some honey over it and place a piece of baking paper on top. The easiest thing to do now is put something heavier on top, such as a glass baking dish. Turn it over halfway through and do the same. The croissant is now thin, crispy and caramelized. Super delicious! Finish with your favorite sweet or savory toppings.
