This will be the Netherlands’ first alcohol-free bar

Taking part in Dry January but still want to hang out at the bar until the early hours? Soon, you can. On 3 January 2020, alcohol-free pop-up Bar 0.020 will open its doors in Amsterdam.

The aim of 0.020 (pronounced: zero point zero twenty)? To help people get through Dry January in a fun way. No weekends stuck at home on the sofa with a cup of tea. Just head to the pub, where you can enjoy all kinds of cocktails, beers and bubbly while still sticking to your resolutions. Now that’s something we can get behind.
Entertainment and fun
Boring? We don’t think so. There’s a DJ every Friday, while on Saturdays alcohol-free drinks and beer breweries (including Lowlander and Jopen Bier) will organise tastings. On Sundays, the bar will become a large board-game café with an entertainment team. You’re especially welcome to bring your own favourite game.
Unfortunately, the bar doesn’t have eternal life (yet). On 31 January, 0.020 will close its doors again. On Saturday 1 February, there will be a spectacular closing party—as the ultimate reward for everyone who made it through the month alcohol-free.
