TikTok in an uproar: is there really more avocado inside an avocado pit?!
TikTok is packed with amazing recipes, from easy to incredibly difficult, and full of restaurant tips. Really useful: whenever I go on vacation or have a city trip planned, I always check out various TikToks about places I absolutely shouldn’t miss. But sometimes (okay, maybe a little more often than sometimes…) it’s also absolutely full of nonsense. And so many people still fall for it.
Take this trend, for example: if you were to cut open an avocado pit, you would find even more avocado inside — apparently, the pit would be filled with it. Now, to be honest, I do understand why so many people tried this, because avocados are expensive enough as it is. So any extra bits you get are obviously a nice bonus. But if you think about it logically… You know this is nonsense, right?

But yes, TikTok now also has plenty of skilled video makers who can make it look as though they’re cutting open an avocado pit and voilà: it’s really in there. Then another user uses it in a duet and, would you believe it — it’s really happened to him too! Oh, come on.
So it’s simply a remarkable piece of editing, but it is hilarious to see that so many people genuinely fall for it. Just to be clear: there is no avocado inside that pit, and please don’t try it yourself, because removing the pit from avocados is still a major concern for plastic surgeons.
