Newcomer in the top 3 of restaurant guide Lekker500 (2024 edition)

Lekker 2024

The new Lekker500 has been released. The top spot is not all that surprising; in this 46th edition, it once again goes to De Librije. But the new restaurant guide also features 12 newcomers in the top 100.

This year’s top 3 consists of familiar names, but also includes a newcomer. Jan and Claudia Sobecki’s Brabant restaurant Tribeca is in third place. The restaurant has a close-knit team that, with all due modesty, guarantees an optimal experience of high-end gastronomy, according to restaurant guide Lekker500.

Places 2 and 1 in Lekker500

Brut172 by Hans van Wolde enters the top 3 for the first time this year, in second place. De Librije is once again in first place, thanks to Jonnie and Thérèse Boer’s inexhaustible energy and constant drive for innovation. It was, of course, also a fantastic year for the star couple of Dutch gastronomy. They were the big winners at the 2023 Michelin ceremony. In addition to retaining their green star and three Michelin stars this year, they also received a Michelin star for their Brass Boer Thuis and a Bib Gourmand — awarded for a great balance between price, quality and enjoyment — for their Asian restaurant and lounge Senang in Zwolle (which also has a location on Bonaire).

Top 20

Lekker500 has rewarded chefs in the top 20 who stick their necks out and do things just a little differently. This year, no fewer than 7 new names appear in the top 20: restaurant 212 (5th place), restaurant Bij Jef on Texel (12th place), restaurant Meliefste (13th place), restaurant Zarzo (14th place), restaurant De Leuf (17th place), restaurant ’t Nonnetje (18th place), and restaurant Parkheuvel (19th place).

Biggest risers

A number of restaurants have climbed significantly in the top 100. The beautiful Château Neercanne in Maastricht rises by no fewer than 41 places to number 46. ’t Ganzenest in Rijswijk shoots up 28 places to number 68. Groningen’s Noor rises 26 places to number 38 after its first appearance last year, and Alma in Oisterwijk finishes just behind Noor in 39th place after climbing 24 places.

The 2024 edition of Lekker500 costs €19.99 and can also be ordered via lekker.nl/bestel.
