Tip: how to stop your avocado from turning brown

As delicious as they are, it rarely happens that I eat an entire avocado in one go. I always wrap the other half tightly in cling film and although that helps quite a bit, I have to admit that it still turns a little brown. TikTok user @KMag1 has a handy trick for that.

On the popular social media platform, she shares her golden tip: use a little water.
Yes, sometimes life really is that simple. The American fills the bottom of a plastic container with a layer of water, places the halved avocado (with the stone) in it—with the cut side in the water, obviously—and seals the container with a lid. Into the fridge it goes and tadaaa: 24 hours later, she takes the avo back out, fresh, green and all.
Pat it dry

All you have to do is pat it dry with some kitchen paper. After that, the colour, flavour and texture are exactly as if you had only just cut it open.
