You can now buy an avocado air mattress at Lidl and it costs next to nothing
Lidl continues to surprise us. We were already wildly enthusiastic about their cool wine climate cabinet and their excellent BBQ, and now there’s the hilarious Avokano. The name alone is enough to make you laugh, if you ask me.
The Avokano is an avocado air mattress with a removable pit. (By the way, did you know that you should never throw away an avocado pit?). So it guarantees hours of floating fun on your favorite fruit. (Or is it a vegetable? Good grief, people always get very heated about that… Just like the burning question: are avocados actually vegan?). But let’s keep things relaxed: an avocado air mattress, and make it quick!

What do you need to do? Quickly surf to the Lidl website, add the Avokano to your basket (€8.99!), inflate the thing when it arrives, find a suspiciously blue sea and throw that pit at your friends who love beach activities. You know better and place your derrière where the pit belongs and voilà, you’re a floating avocado. You don’t want to be anything else on vacation. Well, perhaps a floating, drinking avocado.

The Avokano is a big one, measuring 160 x 123 x 39 cm (l x w x h). The maximum load is 100 kg, so hopefully you just make the limit with all those quarantine pounds… Got a taste for it? Lidl also has air mattresses shaped like a soft-serve ice cream, strawberry, pineapple and popcorn in its range.
