TonTon Club brings its arcade to your home

TonTon Club – Amsterdam’s first ‘barcade’ – wants to encourage people to stay indoors and rewards well-behaved homebodies by bringing a little TonTon to their homes.

While many restaurants have started offering takeout and delivery, TonTon Club is making its own plans. Or rather, going to war. Because the Tonnies have a mission: to make everyone understand that they need to stay at home.
Free Pacman or Photoplay at home
Under the motto Staying In = Winning, they reward and promote the people who take the #staythefuckhome motto seriously. How? By bringing their Pacman-Galaga, 60-Classics or Photoplay to your home for free (!).
“We want to encourage people to stay at home and help them fight boredom with our games,” explains owner Serdar Tonkas. “You can borrow one of the machines for 5 days, then it goes into quarantine for 2 days and we make sure it is disinfected before it goes to the next homebody.”
Want to win? Stay inside
Under their posts on Instagram and Facebook, you can nominate your favorite homebody (or yourself). Simply indicate which of the three arcade machines you would like to have stay over and why.
Do note: the promotion is only valid in the Amsterdam region, and the Tonnies will bring the arcade machines to your door. So if you live three floors up at the back? Expect quite a bit of heavy lifting. “But,” says Serdar, “that’s precisely why we chose these machines; they’re still manageable.” Besides, you’ll have had your workout for the day.
Quarantonton package
If board games are more your thing (or you miss out on the arcade promotion): the men and women of TonTon Club also deliver Quarantonton packages. Surprise packages filled with craft beer, games and a gift voucher for when TonTon Club is allowed to reopen. In this way, staying in really is winning.
