Ultimate weekend tip: the Sunday Brunch at the Conservatorium hotel

If lunch is also your favorite meal of the day, and you like to spend hours doing it on weekends, I have the ultimate tip for you: the Sunday Brunch at the Conservatorium hotel. It costs a bit, but in return you get delicious bites and live music in a beautiful setting.

The Sunday Brunch takes place every Sunday in the Conservatorium Brasserie, in the hotel’s beautiful atrium, and starts at 12:30 p.m. with a live jazz performance. Order a Mimosa or Bellini to start and choose your main course. Will you go for poached eggs (Benedict, Royal, or Florentine), an omelet with lobster, or a Sunday Roast?
A tray full of deliciousness
The starter consists of a number of beautiful and delicious dishes, served on lovely little plates and bowls. Zeeland oysters and mussels, charcuterie, blinis with salmon, cauliflower with Hollandaise, crostini with avocado, mozzarella with pesto and tomato, mushroom soup, veal tail, Caesar salad, quinoa salad, beets, sourdough bread with butter, various kinds of cheese; the tray next to our table is completely full.

White tea
The menu features a few knockout cocktails, such as the Melon Punch with Roku gin and pineapple soda, wine, champagne, and soft drinks, as well as delicious teas, such as the white tea ‘Silver Needle.’
Omelet with lobster
The Sunday Brunch runs from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., so be sure to take your time between the starters and the main course. The omelet comes with a delicious, bouillabaisse-like sauce and is filled with lobster. Smoked salmon and fish roe are served on top of the omelet. Delicious!

Award-winning chocolate
You’d better loosen your belt by one notch, because after the main course there’s a dessert trolley with the most beautiful patisserie by pastry chef Jamay Tuller, winner of the award for the best bonbon in the Netherlands. What can you expect? Macaron with rose and raspberry, vanilla mousse with blueberry, a ruby chocolate bonbon with dragon fruit, basil, and lime, taco with yuzu, sake, and meringue, pistachio chocolate with dried raspberry and Rice Krispies, strawberries dipped in various kinds of chocolate…
