Walmart ‘model’ Charlene is going viral with her hilarious Facebook photos

Ali B, perfect little families and, of course, supermarket manager Henk: supermarkets use all kinds of characters to promote their products. But nobody does it quite like Charlene.

Charlene? Yes, Charlene. The model of the Walmart North East Facebook page in the US state of Maryland, and by now the figurehead of the American working woman.

From Trojan condoms to heads of cabbage: Charlene poses with them all. And she does it with flair. No radiant smile (quite the opposite), but an unmistakable mountain of self-deprecation is what makes her so unique. The photos speak for themselves.

Charlene has now become so popular that a petition has even been started to get her on The Ellen Show with Ellen DeGeneres. Will it work? We certainly hope so.
