Which temperature is perfect for which tea?

Do you always pour the bubbling water straight from the kettle into your mug? Then read on. The temperature of the water is actually very important for the taste of your tea. Making tea with boiling water is really not done.

The substances and flavors released from the tea leaves depend on the temperature of the water you pour over them. Is the water too cold? Then little flavor is released. Water that is too hot makes the tea bitter and causes it to smell less intense. Such a shame.
Every type of tea needs a different temperature for optimal results. It’s best to use a thermometer or kettle that can be set to a specific temperature. Don’t have one? Then let freshly boiled tea water sit for a moment before using it.
Green and white tea
80 to 85 degrees, or let boiling water cool for four minutes.
Black tea
90 to 95 degrees, or let boiling water cool for two minutes.
Herbal tea
