Win a year’s supply of frikandellen with the Frituurloop in Groningen

Talk about #lifegoals. I get pretty happy from a frikandel every now and then. Of course, I used to be afraid they contained horse meat, cow eyes, that kind of nonsense… But even though I still don’t know exactly what’s in them, those things are simply ridiculously delicious. If you love them too, I might have good news for you: next weekend, you can win a year’s supply of frikandellen. Whaaaat?

Yes, really: that’s the grand prize of the Frituurloop in Groningen, on 27 and 28 February. In the spirit of supporting your locals, a six-kilometre run is being organised.
Walking and snacking
And this walk isn’t just about enjoying the view, but mainly about snacking (and walking some of it off at the same time). The six-kilometre route takes you past five cafeterias, where you get a snack and a quiz round each time. The winner of those rounds gets a year’s supply of frikandellen. Erm, asking for a friend: what counts as a year’s supply? One frikandel per day, week or month? Either way, it’s already making me hungry.
How much does it cost? Just four euros per entry. You’d be robbing your own wallet by not taking part, if you ask me. You can still sign up, and you can do that here. There are two rounds on both days: one starting at noon and one starting at 3 p.m. Spread your chances, I’d say, and simply join all four rounds. The more chance of winning those frikandellen, the better!
