Woman bites into completely moldy frikandel in frikandel roll
Anyone who follows us even a little knows that we’re crazy about frikandellen here. Snackspert Eke more than anyone. But there are many more people who fancy a greasy snack every now and then. Roxana Vermunt, for example. Only she got a nasty surprise.
The frikandel in the frikandel roll she bought at Bakker Bart in Bergen op Zoom turned out to be completely moldy. And that despite the bread bag saying ‘always deliciously fresh.’
‘Really disgusting’
To make matters worse, Roxana only discovered this after taking a bite of the roll. ‘Really disgusting,’ she writes on Facebook, where she shares the photos and her account.
Bakker Bart, like Roxana, was naturally also extremely shocked. The bakery chain immediately contacted her and is now trying to find out how this could have happened. We don’t know how they’re going to do that.

What we do know is that 29 other frikandel rolls were sold that day. Roxana was apparently incredibly unlucky: only her frikandel had gone bad; all the others were still fine. A spokesperson said that this makes it even more difficult to determine how this could have happened.
Still, we’ll be skipping frikandel rolls for the time being.
