World Championship of Chinese Cuisine 19–21 September

Rotterdam will host the eighth edition of the prestigious World Championship of Chinese Cuisine for three days from 19–21 September 2016. More than 400 top chefs from the international Chinese gastronomy scene will compete at Ahoy for this world title. In 2016, this culinary top event will be held outside Asia for the first time.

The WCCC is the Chinese counterpart to the Western-oriented Bocuse d’Or  and can be described as the Olympic Games of Chinese gastronomy.  Teams of chefs from fifteen countries (including China, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Australia and the United States) will compete against one another. During the competition, each team must prepare six dishes in 3.5 hours, which will be judged on taste, creativity, technique, innovation and presentation.
