YES! Loetje Drive In is open again (at 5 locations in the Netherlands!)
Last March, Loetje came up with a fun plan to provide its guests with their favorite steak despite coronavirus: Loetje Drive In. And it turned out to be such a success that several Loetje Drive Ins opened. These Drive Ins are now open again, but you can also get your steak fix at all other Loetje locations.
During this new hospitality closure, steak lovers can count on Loetje again, because the following five Loetje Drive Ins are open once more: Loetje aan de Amstel in Ouderkerk, Loetje Gorssel, Loetje aan ’t IJ, Loetje Breda and Loetje Overveen. And they’re open seven days a week, too.
Loetje at the table
All other Loetje locations have been converted so that you can easily pick up your food there too. A portion costs €18,95; fries and the well-known salad can be ordered separately. And for those who love it, steak Bali is also on the takeaway menu, one euro more expensive and served with the real Loetje sambal gravy!
Tips & tricks for home
Picked up a little steak? Serve it at home on a warm plate. You can do this by heating the (heatproof) plate in a preheated oven (on the lowest setting) for 5 to 10 minutes, or by heating your plate in the microwave together with a cup of water (2 minutes on the highest setting). Finally, you can place your plate in hot water for 5 to 10 minutes.
Loetje Drive In is open only to cars and unfortunately not to cyclists, mopeds or pedestrians. You can place your order contactlessly, pay by card and take your order with you without contact. Or pick up your steak at one of the other locations listed below. You do not need to order in advance.
