You can now buy an Oktoberfest beer keg at Lidl, and it costs next to nothing

Only celebrate Oktoberfest in October? No way! During supermarket Lidl’s Alpenfest (starting February 19), we’re bringing the beer festival home a few months early. So get those lederhosen, dirndl dresses and white checked tablecloths out of the cupboard and fill your table with these winter-sports classics from the Alps. Yodelayheee!

We regularly have breakfast, lunch and dinner with homemade Kaiserschmarrn. And yes, you can now also buy it at Lidl. But the blue-and-yellow supermarket now has many more delicious products from the mountains on its shelves. From beer kegs to Alpine lasagne and from Almdudler to Sachertorte: organizing a dinner entirely in Tyrolean style is a piece of cake.

Tyrolean fest at home
For a starter, we’ll have cheese fondue (why not!), followed by a plate of Flammkuchengratin and an XL wiener schnitzel. For dessert, a box of Mozartkugeln and perhaps one of those delicious Alpenfest Chocobananen too. A nice, hearty pilsner to wash it all down with certainly shouldn’t be missing either. That’s why you can also buy a special Oktoberfest beer tap. Or, even better: a 5-liter mini keg for just under 13 euros. Three euros more expensive than a few years ago, but I don’t need to tell you how insanely expensive everything has become, of course.
The Alpenfest lasts one week. So hurry to Lidl and stock up. Then you can still organize a Tyrolean party this weekend!
