Een pizza met champignons en ham en basilicum

Whoa! Wait just a moment before reading on, because after this message you’ll never be able to order a pizza with a clear conscience again. No time is no longer an excuse. You make this pizza dough with just two ingredients, and it’s ready faster than the pizza delivery driver can get there.

Friday night, and ideally you want to collapse straight onto the sofa with a large glass of wine. Shall we order pizza, then? That takes ages, because even if the pizzeria is just around the corner, by the time that margherita is on your plate, you’ll easily be an hour further into a busy Friday evening. Quite inconvenient, because you want it now.

Two ingredients

It probably doesn’t even occur to you to make a pizza yourself. Dealing with sticky dough that has to rise for an eternity is the last thing you feel like doing. But believe it or not: you can make this pizza dough super quickly and with just two ingredients. Most Italian pizza bakers will raise their hands to heaven in outrage when reading this recipe. Fair enough, but we don’t always have to stick to Italian pizza etiquette. This pizza is also absolutely delicious and, more importantly, super quick.

How to make it

You’ll need: 150 g self-raising flour (possibly a little more, but start with this amount and then add a little at a time as shown in the video below) and 250 g Greek yoghurt. Preheat the oven to 220 °C. Mix the ingredients in a bowl. Dust the work surface with some flour and knead the dough firmly for about 5 minutes. Is the dough too wet? Add a little more self-raising flour. Roll it out and you have the perfect pizza base. Add your favourite toppings and bake in the oven for 10–12 minutes. Your Friday night can begin!
