Recipe: Ultimate brownies from the Airfryer

brownies

Do you mainly think of fries and bitterballen when you think of the Airfryer? Think again. It also works as an oven, so you can make brownies in it really well too. These ultimate brownies with hazelnuts and white chocolate, for example.

The ultimate brownie is gooey inside and crisp on top. You achieve this by using two types of sugar. So don’t expect to be able to cut this brownie into perfect squares either, because the inside really does need to remain soft. How many can you eat before you feel sick?

Making brownies in the Airfryer

1. Preheat the Airfryer to 180°C. Line the baking tin with baking paper. Melt the butter and chocolate in a pan. Beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
2. Let the chocolate mixture cool slightly, then beat it into the egg and sugar mixture. Roughly chop the nuts and chocolate; there can definitely still be a few whole nuts among them. Sift the flour over the batter. Add the salt, almonds and chocolate and fold everything together.
3. Pour the mixture into an oven dish and bake for approx. 30 minutes, until the top is completely dry but the inside is still gooey. When you insert and remove a skewer, no wet batter should remain on it, but there should be some sticky crumbs.
