As if you’re sticking your nose in a bucket: the KFC candle
Hungry, you walk into Kentucky Fried Chicken and your nose is immediately filled with the smell of crispy fried chicken. You can now recreate this ‘sensation’ at home too, because KFC has — yes, really — a fried chicken candle.
KFC New Zealand ran a Facebook competition giving away the limited-edition chicken candle. The fast-food chain asked followers which other products with a fried chicken scent they should bring to market alongside the candle.
Suggestions such as sunscreen, toothpaste and mouthwash came up. Yuck. But the winner suggested bringing KFC stamps to market. ‘Because the Colonel always delivers’.

Unfortunately, the candle is not available on the regular market, but don’t despair. KFC wasn’t the first to come up with this brilliant idea; you can order a candle here that smells like fried chicken.
