Spoonfuls of joy

You’ve definitely earned it: curled up on the sofa with a blanket (or not), Netflix on, and spooning straight from the jar. Whether it’s peanut butter, dulce de leche or guacamole, eating by the spoonful is pure enjoyment.

These eight things taste much better straight from the jar or bowl. Enjoy!
Dulce de leche
Hello, spoonsfull of soft caramel, come to mama. Of course it’s delicious when you use it to make a dessert or cake, but dulce de leche is already delicious enough straight from the can. Let it take center stage.

Peanut butter
Peanut butter on bread? Delicious. Peanut butter with banana? Delicious. Eating peanut butter straight from the jar by the spoonful? The best. That creamy texture in your mouth interspersed with crunchy peanut pieces, mmm.
Nutella
The same applies here: the more in one bite, the better, so that spoon for the Nutella can never be big enough. Like taking a bite of a chocolate bar, only softer and sweeter.
Chili sauce
Where you always get too little mayonnaise with your fries, you always get too much chili sauce with your cheese sticks. You never finish a little bowl like that. Unless you empty it with your finger. And we’re happy to do that. Sweet, yet with just a tiny bit of heat. Bring us another bowl.

Ice cream
This one may go without saying, but a pint full of ice cream and a spoon on the sofa is still much more enjoyable than a measly bowl with two neatly measured scoops. Or worse, one. We’ll decide for ourselves when we’ve had enough ice cream, thank you very much.
Speculoos
The same principle as peanut butter and Nutella; of course this is delicious on bread, but sometimes you simply have to stick that spoon in the jar. Eating speculoos without crumbs, what more could anyone want?
Guacamole
You’ve gone to all that effort to make killer guacamole (always add a red chili and a spring onion, never yogurt or cream), only to run out of tortilla chips to dip into it in no time. No problem! Just give us a spoon and we’ll happily eat our 200 grams of vegetables straight from the bowl.

Cookie dough
A guilty pleasure for many, but not for us. Nothing to be ashamed of, because everyone loves cookie dough. Yes, okay, raw egg isn’t good for you, but egg-free cookie dough also exists. And as soon as we have some, we eat the entire bowl. Which cookies?
