3 delicious snack boards in Rotterdam

borrelplank

Perhaps my favorite moment of the day: drinks and snacks. And depending on the day and time of year, that can easily happen shortly after noon. And don’t think of a cube of cheese with a little flag stuck in it and a glass of feeble white wine. These three snack spots in Roffa do it much better.

The tastiest cheese board

Skip the little flag, but cheese of course cannot be missing from a snack board. Certainly not when it concerns cheese from Booij Kaasmakers. It may well be the very best cheese board in Rotterdam; you’ll find it at Fenix Food Factory in Katendrecht. A household name for Rotterdammers who like to chill with a bite and a drink overlooking the Maas. The Booij Kaasmakers snack board is a tasting of their tastiest artisanal cheeses. From boeren truffle cheese to lavender goat cheese. And don’t forget their latest cheese fantasy: young matured goat cheese with lemon and thyme. Fresh, autumnal and utterly delicious.

Drinks and art

Galeriaaa by Mangiare is located in an art gallery in the Old North. A lovely place to unwind with a good glass of wine or an Italian beer, accompanied by a delicious snack board. With plenty of seasonal vegetables, charcuterie and fish. Completely satisfied after eating? Then be sure to look around the studio of the artist trio AAAFresh 123.

Plank Royaal XXL

My favorite street in the heart of Rotterdam: Witte de With. Always lively. And that certainly applies to the terrace of restaurant de With too. Don’t overthink it and go for the Plank Royaal XXL so you can sample a bit of everything. Croquettes, carpaccio, chicken curry, smoked salmon, cheeses, sausages, focaccia and spareribs. No need for dinner anymore.
