4 drinks boxes for e-drinks

After all that working from home, we occasionally (or okay, quite often) crave a drink. With friends, family, the neighbours or colleagues. We’re clearly not the only ones, because ‘social distance’ drinks, or e-drinks, have quickly become the new norm.

And there are many initiatives that make online drinks easier by offering complete drinks packages. Also nice: the drinks packages are often put together with products from local producers, so you’re also helping to support food producers who are having a hard time; #supportyourlocals.
Olijck’s drinks box
The charcuterie makers at Olijck are launching a drinks box – in collaboration with online catering platform Hapjes aan Huis – under the name Borrel Experience. It includes Olijck’s artisanal dried sausages, vegetable crisps, Sardinian pane carasatu flatbread, Kalamata olives and a nut mix. As for drinks, you can choose from beer (Affligem), wine and non-alcoholic drinks (iced tea from Thijsthee), or a mix of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
Practical: Order via Borrel Experience. If you order before noon, your drinks box will be delivered to your home free of charge the next day, anywhere in the Netherlands. There is also a veggie box and family box. You can also donate a box to healthcare workers.

The drinks bag for food snobs
A weekly bag full of products from the favourite addresses of culinary journalist Hiske Versprille. The drinks bag for drinks snobs, as she calls it herself. A lovely initiative to support local producers who currently have no hospitality outlets in the context of #supportyourlocals. The weekly changing drinks package includes different charcuterie (De Pasteibakkerij), cheeses (including from KEF), wine and kombucha, but you can also expect fresh asparagus.
Practical: available to order once a week and collect in Amsterdam. You can find the link to the order form on Hiske’s Twitter @HiskeVersprille.
Wild van Wild
The men behind Wild van Wild are brothers Sjoerd and Klaas, keen hunters and qualified chefs. Wild boar pâté, rillettes and wild goose pastrami, venison merguez sausages – the brothers make it all themselves. With their artisanal game products, they are the permanent suppliers to the best hospitality businesses in Amsterdam and the surrounding area. They too saw their hospitality revenue evaporate and launched a new webshop. All this goodness is now available directly to consumers, including our favourite wild boar grill sausage with jalapeño cheddar. Besides the very generous drinks package, you can also order a BBQ package (including venison steak) and, for true game lovers, a complete tasting package featuring the best of Wild Van Wild.
Practical: Order via the Wild van Wild webshop.

Vrijmibobox
Imagine you work at a digital agency and, as a result of coronavirus, have a little less work for a while and want to contribute something. The people behind Kobalt Digital missed their weekly drinks and launched the Vrijmibobox – one of the very first. A combination of support for a good cause, online expertise and the need to keep team spirit high, as they put it themselves. Ten per cent of the proceeds from every box goes to the Red Cross #daslief. In every box you’ll find a selection of special beers from Dutch brewers (and nuts), selected by partner Beer in a Box. Available in regular and XL versions, as well as alcohol-free.
Practical: Order from the webshop. Order before Wednesday and it will be delivered by Friday at the latest.
