5 of the weirdest products at Vomar

Vomar supermarkt

A visit to the supermarket is an outing. Especially when you come across the weirdest things. Because how on earth do they come up with them? This time: 5 weird products you can find at Vomar.

Vomar makes a lot of promises. For example, if you’re not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you simply get your money back when you return the product and receipt. And, also impressive: every fourth customer or any customer after that waiting in line at the checkout gets their groceries for free. That’s how they guarantee the fastest service every time.

What do you think, would you stand in line for one of these products?

Sportbonkje (€2,79)

Especially for the athletes among us. Either it’s a loaf of bread that’s supposed to give you a lump of muscle, or it’s a lump of… sport?

Lumberjack burgers (€3,95)

I’m so curious to know what makes these burgers lumberjack-like. Are they specially made for tough men who spend all day chopping wood? Maybe the bacon pattern is a reference to the lumberjack shirt. You know, those shirts with a checked pattern. Yes, that must be it.

Big-ear chips (€0,55)

Am I the only one who gets a little scared by these rabbit chips? And another thing: the packaging says that I should hit the dance floor with these chips. But I don’t really see the connection between rabbits and disco. Or why I should take this bag of chips with me to the pub.

Greek pâté (€5,19)

France meets Greece. Another sort of inception snack that makes me think: hmm, is that really necessary? It probably tastes fine, but I certainly don’t want to pay the bizarre amount of €5,19 (!) for a pâté with some chopped olives and green peppers in it.

Ginger cream cheese (€2,15)

Just like pumpkin spice, I get the impression that ginger is randomly being added to everything these days. Jumbo even managed to put it in sidewalk chalk (?!). My question is: do we really want that? For me, this ginger cream cheese is definitely a no-go, but ginger lovers might absolutely love it.
