6x quick weekday meals #4

When you come home hungry after a long day, you often don’t want to spend hours in the kitchen. Of course, that doesn’t mean you should eat less deliciously. All of these dishes are ready in under half an hour and can be served proudly to guests or family.

Tuna tartare
The little croutons you add to this tartare give it extra crunch. While they’re in the oven, cut the raw tuna into small cubes and season it with soy sauce and wasabi. Add a salad and you’re done.

Sloppy joe
A soft bun with ground beef sauce on top. It may sound strange, but in America this is every child’s favorite. And with a little sambal in the sauce and a slice of pickle on top, we think it’s adult proof too.
Noodle soup
For when you don’t have much time but still want to eat healthily. The ingredients for this miso soup are ready while the stock is steeping. The recipe says it should take half an hour, but it’s already delicious after fifteen minutes. Roasting the shiitake in soy sauce and sesame oil makes them crunchy and salty, so even the biggest mushroom hater will enjoy them.

Mussels in tomato sauce
Instead of preparing your mussels the classic way, stew them in tomato sauce. The shells still cook quickly, so you’ll be sitting down to eat within twenty minutes. Make sure you have plenty of bread to mop up the sauce.
Lentil curry
This spicy Indian lentil curry with tomato is on the table within half an hour and is exactly what you need when you’re looking for comfort food.
Pasta with cherry tomatoes
Spaghetti with tomato sauce, but slightly different. Fry the cherry tomatoes in the pan until they burst, creating a delicious sauce. Add Parmesan and dig in. See here how to get this dish on the table in fifteen minutes.
