7x the unlikely combination of Crocs and food

Crocs-Favorflav

Although the manufacturer itself believes that Crocs are the perfect shoes to wear while working in the kitchen or front of house, we think the combination of delicious food and ugly plastic clogs is far-fetched. Not everyone agrees…

That’s something to eat your Crocs with…

It could be even worse: journalist Gunnar Lundberg from the website Knight Errant cooked and ate his Crocs. Wait, what?!? Yes, his grass-green Crocs went into a large pan of boiling water, with some salt, pepper and extra virgin olive oil. After twenty minutes, Gunnar fished the clog out of the pan and cut it into slices. That was easy—the plastic cut like butter. Chewing was more difficult; the plastic remained tough and proved hard to swallow. The taste was disappointing too—even with a sriracha dip, Gunnar and his two colleagues (who volunteered to help with the tasting) didn’t consider it a success. Still, they aren’t toxic and are edible, as long as you cook them first.
