8 Things Supermarket Customers Say That Are Absolutely Exhausting (Part 2)

On Facebook, you keep going wild over bizarre things supermarket customers say. They’re too good not to share again, so a part two was a must.

Don’t Call Me

‘If you’re not nice now, that lady is going to get VERY angry.’ Dana is driven mad by parents who use her to discipline their child. Luckily, Dana always explains to the children that she’s a very sweet woman and that she really does understand: who actually wants to be dragged along on a shopping trip by their mother all day? Don’t call me.

Stupid Nonsense

Annelies gets asked this question far too often: “Er, I don’t think you’ll know, but I wanted to ask something.” ‘Then don’t ask anything if you think I don’t know anyway!’

Passed!

In the previous things supermarket customers say, Audrey missed the hysterical joy after the card transaction… “Yes, I’ve passed again!” This really remains a classic, unfortunately.

Not Ugly

Buying condoms remains a little awkward. Bram was a spectator when someone was paying for condoms. The cashier asked: ‘Would you like a plastic bag with that?’, to which the customer replied: ‘Well, she’s not that ugly, you know!’ Ohhhkayyyyy….

A Day Without Laughter…

The question ‘Would you like the receipt?’ prompts the silliest answers. Take Bob, for example. When the cashier asks him about the receipt, he says: ‘No, thank you, it doesn’t taste very nice.’ Very silly, but a day without laughter is a day wasted, right, Bob?

Chicken, Please

Anita works in a pet shop, and it’s also a place for plenty of laughing, screaming and roaring. People regularly ask how much the budgerigars cost. Apparently, the price is disappointing. ‘That expensive? Then we’ll just eat chicken!’

Sour Customer

Mindy also has a hard time of it. She politely asks a customer, ‘Good afternoon, can I help you?’, to which the customer snaps, ‘Yes, otherwise I wouldn’t be here, would I?’

A Real Chemist

Dianne works as a chemist at a supermarket. Nice job, but guess what? She recently had a customer tell her, ‘I’ll go to a real chemist.’ As if Dianne got her diploma in a box of butter. A case of many thanks and goodbye!
