Amazing: Twitter adds a culinary twist to your favorite songs
We already had Mama Appelsap, but Twitter user Frank has thrown a new challenge into the mix with #HoeEetDitLiedje: your favorite song with a culinary twist. Twitter is going wild. And believe me, it’s hilarious.
Long, long ago, when I was still in primary school and the Vengaboys were still the height of cool, I had a friend who would always sing loudly, ‘WOW we’re going to eat PIZZA.’ It was only years later that she discovered the song goes just a little differently (for anyone who doesn’t know it: We’re going to Ibiza). After a brief sputter of protest — “But pizza makes sense, right?! Because they’re gonna have a party! In the Mediterranean Sea…” — she conceded.
Too bad she isn’t on Twitter, because wow, this would have been a wonderful addition to the challenge. Fortunately, there are more than enough gems to discover among the responses. Below you’ll find the funniest ones. Our absolute favorite? Zeg Me Dat Het Schnitzel Is by Frank Boeijen.
