The frikandel hype of 2020: here it is

Frikandel hypes. We love them. And now, in the run-up to Carnival, another crackingly delicious piece of news. The Knetterdel goes Carnival.

What news! The Carnival Knetterdel is coming. Did you even know the original Knetterdel existed? It is a frikandel with mayo and, how could it be otherwise, popping candy. The original Knetterdel has existed since 2018, and the familiar snack is sprinkled with orange popping candy. So crackling: a stick of oral pleasure.

So what makes the Knetterdel Carnival-themed? Inventor and “idea man” Joël thought long and hard about this. The end result is as follows: frikandel, mayonnaise and popping candy in the colors red, yellow and green: the Limburg Carnival colors.

Do you think you’ll be eating a sweet snack because of the added popping candy? Nothing could be further from the truth, according to culinary heavyweight Joël. The popping stuff is tasteless; it’s solely about the exploding sensation in your mouth. So it’s simply a frikandel with mayo that you slide down, but with lots of mini explosions that orally delight your tongue and palate.
