Authentically Dutch stroopwafel McFlurry goes to the US

Americans are thrilled by this news: the stroopwafel McFlurry is coming to McDonald’s in the United States. The stroopwafel, one of the most iconic treats from the Netherlands, has Americans going wild for Maccie.

The stroopwafel McFlurry, or ‘stroepwoffel’ McFlurry as the Americans call it, is coming to McDonald’s in America at the beginning of June. Business Insider discovered this through leaked documents.
The McFlurry with Dutch roots is part of a new ‘Worldwide Favorites’ menu. The Grand McExtreme Bacon Burger from Spain, a chicken sandwich with tomato and mozzarella from Canada, and cheese-and-bacon fries from Australia are also included. Still, Americans seem most excited about this ‘typically Dutch’ dessert.
Can't believe I'm saying this but I need to go to McDonald's. #stroopwafel https://t.co/nfxpdkCjqn via @businessinsider

The stroopwafel McFlurry was a limited-edition variant in the Netherlands a few years ago. Unfortunately, it is not known whether the stroopwafel McFlurry will return to the Netherlands as well.
