What happens when you order a specialty coffee at a Dutch train station and still want all kinds of bells and whistles added? They’d probably look at you as if you weren’t quite right in the head; it seems unlikely that you’d be welcomed there with a long list of requests. But in America, hospitality goes a lot further than in the Netherlands, so people order their frappuccino or latte with all kinds of requests and additions.

A wish list longer than the national anthem

Extra almond syrup, extra whipped cream, a certain number of sugar packets and a certain number of pumps of sugar syrup. And they actually get that order, too. Even a wish list longer than the national anthem is cheerfully carried out, because the customer is king, emperor, admiral. But fortunately, behind the scenes, baristas do take a photo of such a bizarre order, because honestly, sometimes you can’t believe your eyes.
