How to make the cinnamon French toast

  • Mix the soy milk, cornflour, ground flaxseed, cinnamon, sugar or agave syrup and vanilla extract with a whisk in a large bowl (the bread must fit in completely).
  • Heat a small amount of oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Dip a slice of wholemeal bread into the batter.
  • Carefully place the bread in the frying pan and, in the meantime, place another slice of bread in the bowl. Place this one in the pan as well.
  • Fry the French toast for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until golden brown. Turn them over with a spatula. 5. Repeat this with the remaining bread and continue until all the batter has been used. Serve the French toast fresh from the pan or keep it warm in the oven at a low temperature, covered with a tea towel.
  • Garnish with toppings such as fresh fruit, nuts, peanut butter or plant-based yoghurt.
