Beware: Albert Heijn warns of metal in egg cakes

Egg cakes, made famous by Sonja Bakker, are an ideal snack for many people. But if you have those round cakes at home, check the best-before date. Albert Heijn has decided to recall several AH Egg Cakes from its stores. Due to a production error, metal may have ended up in the cakes. Oops!

The following egg cakes are affected:

• AH Brabant egg cakes: best-before date up to and including 30-01-22
• AH Brabant egg cakes with raisins: best-before date up to and including 30-01-22
• AH Spelt egg cakes: best-before date up to and including 03-02-22
• AH Mini egg cakes: best-before date up to and including 03-02-22

Purchase price refunded

Customers are urgently requested not to eat the product and to return it to an Albert Heijn store. When you return the product, you will receive a refund of the purchase price.
