Bite, swallow, step: are you joining the Frituurloop too?

Frikandel uitjes

We all walk, but walking past various snack bars—that’s something most people wouldn’t dare. I’d say: definitely do it, because the prize pot for the winner of this walk is seriously loaded.

Do you think a frikandel tour on an e-chopper doesn’t burn enough calories? Then the Frituurloop might be more your thing. ‘Don’t get too culinary for a moment, don’t go on a long-distance run either, but simply enjoy walking and snacking’—that’s the motto of the Frituurloop.

Frituurloop Amersfoort

Following the success of the Frituurloop in Groningen, Haarlem and Leeuwarden, the indulgent walking route is continuing farther into the country. On 29 and 30 May, the Frituurloop will take place in Amersfoort. A walking route with a quiz that passes five Amersfoort snack bars—I think it’s hilariously conceived (and, to be honest, very tasty too, though of course I don’t say that out loud in certain circles).

Win a year’s supply of golden-brown lucky sticks

Which snack bars are taking part is still a surprise, but at each establishment you’ll get a different snack and drink at a reduced price, as well as a quiz round with questions. You can win various types of snacks and sauces, but the ultimate prize is surely a year’s supply of frikandels.

Vegetarian and halal snacks too

Tickets cost 4 euros per participant. You can decide for yourself where to start the route, and children up to 12 years old can take part for free. Are you vegetarian or do you eat halal? Every restaurant/snack bar has a vegetarian and halal option available. You can register via the Frituurloop website.
