Bizarre and Disgusting Behavior from Hospitality Guests #6

vieze borden restaurant

Hospitality guests can engage in incredibly disgusting practices—we already knew that, but thanks to our lovely FavorFlav readers (where would we be without you?!), we’ve gathered even more filth through the many responses to our previous filthy articles. Read on and shudder…

Anno 2021

It’s not only bloodied cocktail sticks that get put back on plates; used face masks make frequent appearances too, according to Marina. Crumpled up in glasses or left under the cutlery; leaving behind a face mask that someone has been huffing and puffing into for who knows how long is very 2021, but above all extremely unappetizing.

Grabbing your underwear

Everyone experiences that their underwear just doesn’t sit quite right sometimes, and most people adjust it properly in the restroom. Except for this customer. When she wanted to pay, a hand went into the back of her trousers; she bent her knees twice and, without a hint of shame, used the same hand to grab her debit card and pay.

Uhhhhh, what?!

Marije says she used to work at the restaurant with the Toucan logo, and that this incident left her speechless. What happened? While she was checking out her guests, before she knew it a new couple sat down at the same table, where the plates with leftover food were still standing, and calmly began where the previous guests had left off. Afterwards, all she could do was ask whether everything had tasted good.

Soup and dog

In the previous edition, we talked about the man with a dog and cake. Now reader Anna is talking about ‘that woman with a dog and soup’. And yes, in this scenario I can completely picture a dog licking a spoon, which its owner then uses to stir her own soup. Yuck!

XL diaper

Working at a wedding—that’s fun. I speak from experience, after all. But finding a full, poopy XL diaper next to the toilet in the ladies’ room at the end of the evening, while there wasn’t a child in sight, is less fun. Presumably the groom’s grandmother was the culprit…

Not very polite!

Reader Jennifer: ‘And what do you do when your child no longer wants the last scoop of her ice cream? You simply place the cup sideways across the table. Great motivation to clean the table quickly before that scoop rolls over the edge!’ Whatever happened to having consideration for the waiting staff?
