Bizarre but true: this salad dressing makes a delicious Italian Spritz

Wait a minute: does a vinegar that is delicious as a salad dressing, but can also be used to make a delicious spritz, actually exist? Yes, as Oil&Vinegar proves with its intensely fruity, limited-edition Italian Spritz vinegar.

I think it’s a brilliant idea: a vinegar that you use not only in the kitchen, but also to make a summery cocktail.
As a salad dressing
Did you know that the citrus flavor of orange pairs perfectly with the soft flavor of avocado? Mix a salad dressing made with Italian Spritz vinegar and a good extra virgin olive oil, and add iceberg lettuce, avocado, cherry tomatoes and, optionally, some shrimp. Delicious with a BBQ. You can also use this vinegar right away as a marinade; coat your salmon with a mixture of Italian Spritz vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, garlic and smoky BBQ herbs.
How to make an Italian Spritz vinegar
- Mix 3 parts prosecco and 1 part sparkling water in a large wine glass with ice cubes.
- Add 2 tablespoons of Italian Spritz vinegar.
- Garnish with a slice of orange et voilà: your Italian Spritz cocktail is ready. Want a refreshing non-alcoholic drink? Leave out the prosecco.
Oil&Vinegar’s Italian Spritz vinegar costs €9.95 (250 ml) and is available here.
